Be
Humble
Paul
teaches us to be humble and remain content in everything that befalls us. When troubles
come, why should we curse God? Thank him instead; for he knows why you are in
that situation. If you are happy, thank him, give back to him coz everything
comes from him. Don’t change your attitude just because you have been elevated materially
and start abusing people or changing your friends or leaving your spouses and
children for what you think your status now allows you to do. If you walk with
Christ in all situations, you will have no need to change your ways. He confesses
in Philippians 4:10-13King James Version
(KJV)
10 But I rejoiced in the
Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again;
wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. 11 Not that I speak in
respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be
content. 12 I
know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: everywhere and in all
things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to
suffer need. 13 I
can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”.
Exactly, we should remember that Paul was a man who persecuted the
church, he had power, wealth, Authority to do anything he wanted but when Jesus
touched him, he was humbled. He never took advantage of his past, he abandoned
it, he lived a simple life; changing people’s lives through his actions. He obeyed
the teachings of Jesus and even when he was beaten, falsely accused and
imprisoned again and again for doing God’s work, he rejoiced for he knew that
Christ was with him always.
What about you?
