Therapy 2 Colors

Therapy 2
Written by Salome Akwi

The colors in flowers are so striking that they resonate hidden feelings that have been locked away in the back of your mind, making them sprout like grass that has been tucked away under dry ground and resurrected by the first rains. It is something that goes beyond human understanding, as it impacts each individual in different ways, yet producing the same desired effect. It seems for a while that all your worries are forgotten instantly and filled with a longing to stay in the presence of this unknown rejuvenating feeling.

Therapy 1 Spiritual Beauty

Spiritual Beauty
Therapy:
Written by Salome Akwi

Even when things are tough, find what works for you to get through those times. I love flowers; there is something about them that pull me, when I was going through a sad period in my life, I began collecting flowers and I planted them in my compound, I created unimaginable places to grow them, I used broken ‘Katasas’ broken flask covers, old saucepans name it. After a short while of nourishing them, I began to enjoy every part of them. I woke up to a morning filled with blooming flowers that filled the air and that was the definition of a pure, beautiful and peaceful day in my mind; shutting out all distractions around me.  The Master of Creation GOD, prepared it just for me because he knows exactly what makes my spirit free.

I don’t know about you BUT that therapy works for me, it can work for you too. Even when I am no longer in that environment, I carried a memory away with me and I am sharing it with you. You are the source of your own happiness, no one can ever take it away from you as long as you focus on the bright light.

Enjoy with me!!!

Spiritual Beauty

Long distance travelling soothes me too and with it I am enriched with such unforgettable sights. This is part of the Nile at Jinja bridge (Eastern Uganda) that I am excited about; every time I cross over it, I am tempted to take a memory with me.

Sights like these, remind me of God’s Goodness and Generosity to mankind and helps me emulate it the best way I can because just as peaceful as it looks is the same peace I feel in the inside.

My love for Photography led me to appreciate what God has blessed us with. From the time I wake up till I go to bed, Nature never ceases to amaze me. So I capture the moment and bring it to my living space.

Be Humble

Be Humble

Paul teaches us to be humble and remain content in everything that befalls us. When troubles come, why should we curse God? Thank him instead; for he knows why you are in that situation. If you are happy, thank him, give back to him coz everything comes from him. Don’t change your attitude just because you have been elevated materially and start abusing people or changing your friends or leaving your spouses and children for what you think your status now allows you to do. If you walk with Christ in all situations, you will have no need to change your ways. He confesses in Philippians 4:10-13King James Version (KJV)
10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. 11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. 12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: everywhere and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”.
Exactly, we should remember that Paul was a man who persecuted the church, he had power, wealth, Authority to do anything he wanted but when Jesus touched him, he was humbled. He never took advantage of his past, he abandoned it, he lived a simple life; changing people’s lives through his actions. He obeyed the teachings of Jesus and even when he was beaten, falsely accused and imprisoned again and again for doing God’s work, he rejoiced for he knew that Christ was with him always.

What about you?

To whom do you belong?

To whom do you belong?

In life, we make these journeys that seem well set, uncoordinated, unplanned. We put deadlines for ourselves; work our bodies off all with the intention to get a good future. Who really dictates it, our parents, friends, relatives, bosses or GOD? No matter how hard we think that we are working, it is not a guarantee that our future is known. Only GOD knows what the future holds. Some people worship money, idolize things of this world but they forget that at any moment their breath is taken THEN WHAT? You will go with nothing and besides what would you have worked for.
Think again, in all we do we don't own ourselves; ask yourself to whom do I belong to, JESUS who died on the cross to save me or the WORLD that will lead me to eternal destruction?

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life” John 3:16
